Safe removal of a poplar tree: Lagnes, 2022
In Lagnes, our team was called in to remove a dead poplar tree approximately 20 metres tall, located very close to a house. Severely decayed and with a large cavity in its trunk, the tree posed a risk to the property and its occupants.
The layout of the site and the proximity of existing structures made it impossible to fell the tree in one piece. We therefore used a tracked cherry picker to dismantle the poplar gradually, branch by branch, before cutting the trunk into sections.
Throughout the operation, our ground crew kept the area safe, removed the cut sections of wood and chipped the branches as the work progressed.
The result : a hazardous tree safely dismantled under controlled conditions, securing the property for the long term while protecting the house and its surrounding features.
