Routine garden maintenance: clearing, weeding and cleaning
A well-maintained garden is also one that stays clean and tidy between major maintenance visits. Autumn leaf clearing, manual weeding of flower beds, cleaning of pathways, terraces and stone walls — these regular tasks are included in our maintenance contracts or can be booked individually.
We do not use systemic herbicides. Instead, we favour selective weeding and mulching to limit weed growth and retain soil moisture. We work in harmony with the garden’s natural balance, rather than against it.
Integrated irrigation: less water, more greenery
Without suitable irrigation, a Mediterranean garden can dry out within two weeks in July. We design and install bespoke automatic irrigation systems: drip irrigation for planting beds, sprinklers for lawns and timed watering schedules to avoid the hottest hours of the day.
A properly calibrated irrigation system uses up to 40% less water than imprecise manual watering. Maintenance is included in our annual contracts: checking watering schedules, detecting leaks and making seasonal adjustments.
Olive tree and cypress pruning: Provençal expertise
The olive tree is often the centrepiece of a Provençal garden. Pruning it is a technical decision, not simply an aesthetic one. Pruned for fruit production, it bears olives. Pruned for ornamental purposes, it helps define the landscape. These two objectives require different techniques and timing.
