Construction of two masonry fountains in Gordes

In Gordes, as part of an extensive landscaping project completed in 2023, our team built two masonry fountains designed to define the garden’s main sightlines and complement its principal pathways.

The challenge was to integrate these two features into a carefully structured landscape design while respecting the garden’s symmetry, the property’s architecture and the distinctive character of the Luberon landscape.

After laying the concrete foundations and installing the water and electrical connections, each fountain was carefully assembled. The octagonal stone basins, central columns and wrought-iron details give them a classical appearance that harmonises with the surrounding materials and architecture.

Positioned along the main pathways, the two fountains complement one another and naturally guide visitors through the garden. They sit at the heart of a landscape design combining expansive lawns, gravel pathways and Mediterranean planting.

The result: two fountains that have become true focal points in the garden. The movement and gentle sound of flowing water bring freshness, rhythm and tranquillity, while enhancing the garden’s sightlines and overall balance.
